Username: Titin CommentsAll Bidhanians are Welcome Username: ANURADHA Commentsthe website is nice, very nice.......CAN WE ALL GET IN TOUCH???? Username: Indrani Paul CommentsAmitava has done a great job.Highlighting one of the places which has a major role in our upbringing is something very admirable.I can only join Amitava in saying that be proud to say you are a Bidhanian. Please let me know if I can do anything to help. Indrani Paul 1991 batch Username: Subhasish Mitra CommentsHi guys! Many of you don't know me. I am one of those who had witnessed the birth this wonderful institute, called Bidhan Chandra Institution, since the day it was inaugurated. Yes, we were the first batch - 1976-78. We had only 3 class rooms and a small teacher's room. Our class rooms had asbestos sheets over our heads, and you know what it means in the month of May and June in Durgapur. Our only relief (which we prefered as a better and more permanent seat of learning) was the water tank. Chitralaya was not too far. Masir dokan was the smokers' paradise. But more interesting was the football match between East Bengal and Mohan Bagan. Needless to mention that we (East Bengal)always won (who else can, when you have the support of Deb Sir). It's a long - long time. Pranab (Aku), Soumen (Phuto), Saibal, Boku-Choku - Partha, Deba, Abhijit and the gang - Ah! the species are extinct, at least the way we all used to be. Where are all you guys (gals too!) Friends, let's take a dip in nostalgia. Let's make the reunion 2001 a grand success. Let's also raise some fund for our institute. Subhasish Mitra Username: Jayanta Bhattacharya (1987 batch) CommentsThanks for making this site. All the best wishes for making Bidhan as one of the best Educational Institute in the world. Username: partha bhowmick CommentsBravo! amitava. Username: PinakiBhowmick CommentsIt was like another day with tough schedules, hot meeting hours in my dungeon (my workplace), until of course I got this idea to type "Bidhan Chandra Institution" in a search engine page. And within few moments, BINGO. I found My "Bidhan". Amitava, you've done a great job. The time when I left Bidhan, new library was just in place, though I must say, not in a good shape. I hope, it's better today. I'll be very happy to help my institution in whatever way I can. Can't we make a well formed group? Username: Deeparati Mukhopadhyay(chatterjee) Commentsgood job Amitava.we all miss our very own Bidhan.this is the place where we actually got(for the first time)the taste of freedom. Username: Angshuman CommentsNice to see so many proud Bidhanians walking down the memory lane. If you want to contact some long lost friends, consider visiting: alumni.net Username: Rajib Roy Commentsthanx TITIN for this splendid effort !!! but a lot needs to be done. why not come up with a site with an independent domain name! Titin If registering a exclusive domain name is alright with all of us, let us go ahead and do it. I will post a page for the voting in a day or so. The website needs a better look I agree. I do have Abhijit Sarkar from '92 batch working on it. In the meantime, I have made some minor changes. Also, once more I request all of you to inform as many ex-Bidhanians as you know, to participate. If registering & space is cheaper in India, lets do it. Please talk to Subhashish Mitra for the purpose. I would add a page in a day or so, to have postings at the site for developments both here and in India - collections, preparations etc. I would make it a point to visit at the time of the re-union too. Thanks Rajib. bhaswati guha bhaswatiguha@usa.net
